Hi, I'm Paul Hames
I have loved practising as a podiatrist in Mairangi Bay for more than 18 years—and look forward to many more.
A graduate from the NZ School of Podiatry and holding a post graduate diploma, PGDipl Sports Medicine (Otago), I am a member of Podiatry New Zealand (PNZ) and ACC and NZ Podiatry Board registered. Over the past few years, I have been hosting third year podiatry students to offer exposure to real world practice. This is a wonderful opportunity not only to teach, but to learn as well!
When I'm not wearing my podiatrist hat, I enjoy running and outdoor activities, especially sharing in sport and physical activity with my family.

My Approach
When visiting Bays Podiatry at the Mairangi Bay clinic, your consultation will involve full history taking , gait assessment, in-chair biomechanical assessment. This may include walking and running assessment to investigate posture and lower limb function. I understand that everyone is different and I offer personalised care that gets results. No matter the issue, your therapy is tailored to get results that work for you.
Dedicated Service, Expert Care
I am dedicated to furthering my medical education to ensure that I offer cutting edge care to my clients.I commonly will seek a multidisciplinary approach, liasing often with physios, GP's and radiography services.
Personal Philosophy
I am committed to ongoing professional development in order to provide the best possible podiatry care. I value my involvement in community-based sporting groups. In conjunction with one of my professional partners 'Athletes Foot', I have been involved with Waitakere netball junior tournament, and the north harbour bowls premier singles event.
